6 Orange or 3 Grapefruit Shells, cut into ¼” Strips
1 Tsp. Salt (can leave out)
3 C. Sugar
1 C. Water
- Sprinkle salt over rind and cover with water.
- Boil 15 minutes, pour off water and repeat 2 more times.
- Drain and cover with sugar, 1 C. water, and simmer stirring occasionally until remaining syrup has boiled off.
Spread on waxed paper and roll each piece of candied fruit in remaining sugar.
